I'm Reg Griffiths. I have designed and made an electronic wind controller (ewi) using Arduino.
My controller is called 'gewi' for Griffiths ewi.

The controller currently has six finger pads plus 3 octave pads (giving 5 octave range) plus 3 auxilliary pads..

I have been using VL70-m and Wallander instruments WIVI so far, and am interested in developing a 'Variophon' inspired synth on Arduino, for fun.
Respiro satisfies the 'unrealistic' urge!

Interests: philosophy (I like HUME), music (BACH improvisation), sound (expressive, as with RESPIRO!).

Latency is my 'bugbear', I like to double tongue!

welcome Reg... I will make a separate forum category allowing you mind to share pics and some details on your GEWI (if you want)

Yes, fast response is highly important.... latency is a real killer for wind-instrument players, certainly when tonguing, throat growling etc...Very fast drivers are crucial.... like the super fast and highly sensitive breath sensor of the Sylphyo....

FYI: I'm working with a business partner/friend/inventor on a new product. A new generation intelligent mouthpiece that I will commercialise after having done crowdfunding and a few smaller production batches. This mouthpiece does sample breath in/out at 4Khz and does capture much much more..... More details, pics and demo's will be shared once patents are established. We went already through a lot or prototyping cycles......Watch this space...
